When will FASHIONCLASH Festival 2023 take place?
Friday 17 November, Saturday 18 November and Sunday 19 November 2023
Where will FASHIONCLASH Festival 2023 take place?
FCF 2023 will take place in Maastricht, The Netherlands. The full program, including locations, will be announced in due time.
How do I apply?
You apply by completing the Application Form for the program part(s) you would like to participate in. Please submit your application for The CLASH House, as part of the Performance Program, no later than Sunday 23 April 2023. Submit your application for Fashion Film Program no later than Saturday 1 July 2023.
Who can sign up?
FCF is interdisciplinary and therefore open to designers, brands and artists from various disciplines, as long as the work is linked to the context of fashion and fashion culture. The focus is on young professionals and mid-careers, but talented students and self-taught designers are also welcome to apply.
Can I apply up for more than one program part?
Yes, you can. Make sure to meet each individual deadline if you apply for both program parts.
Is there a fee for participation?
Participating in The CLASH House is free of charge. FC will set a budget for selected participants of The CLASH House. Participating in the Fashion Film Program includes a fee. Click here for an overview of the categories & fees that apply to the Fashion Film Program. Selected participants for the Fashion Film Program will not receive a budget.
Can I change my application?
No, once you submit it is not possible to change your application.
How do I know that my application has been processed correctly?
If your application has been processed correctly, you will receive a confirmation email within 7 days. Please check your spam folder if you cannot find it directly in your inbox. Make sure you keep this email as proof of your registration.
I have not received a confirmation email after 7 days, what should I do?
You can send an email to festival@fashionclash.nl so we can check your application.
Is it possible to register as a duo or a group?
Yes, that is possible. You can sign up as a single or as a collective participant. One person (the contact person) can fill in the form on behalf of the duo or group.
Is it possible to submit older work?
Yes, that’s possible. Make sure this is stated in your application and tell us if the work has been on display earlier.
Is it possible to submit future work/ work in progress?
Yes, that’s possible. FC suggests that participants who want to apply with future work send in a clear overview of the concept they are currently working on. Moodboards, sketches accompanied with clear descriptions, prototypes, material experiments and samples are very helpful for FC to understand the work. If you want to apply for the Fashion Film Program and you are currently developing a fashion film, please get in touch with a member of team FASHIONCLASH via festival@fashionclash.nl and provide us with the narrative of the film, the length of the film and if possible, other previous works or films.

When will you announce the selected participants?
If you are selected as a participant of The CLASH House you will be notified by e-mail in Week 19, 8-12 May. If you are selected as a participant for the Fashion Film Program, you will be notified by email in Week 28 (10 July – 14 July). If you are not selected as a participant, you will also be notified by e-mail.

FC cares about the well-being of people, animals and the planet. It’s important that your work ethics underline this.

How many participants will be selected?
The number of selected participants for Fashion Film & Video is based on quality and capacity.
What’s the maximum length of a film I can submit?
The maximum length of a film should be 15 minutes.
I am currently developing a film. Can I still apply?
Yes, you can. Please get in touch with a member of team FASHIONCLASH via festival@fashionclash.nl and provide us with the narrative of the film, the length of the film and if possible, other previous works or films.

The CLASH House provides a stage for 5 participants.

Can I visit other events during FASHIONCLASH Festival as a participant?
Events may be free of charge or accessible via ticket sale (to be announced). Due to limited tickets and limited financial resources, FC cannot offer participants free access to paid events.
I would like to participate as a model or performer, can I sign up for a casting?
You can send an email here if you are interested in modeling or performing during FASHIONCLASH Festival.
Can I organize my own event during FASHIONCLASH Festival as part of the program?
Initially, no. But if you have a great idea that you would like to discuss with us, please send us an email here. If we think it would be a welcome addition to the festival, we will contact you.
I have not been selected as a participant and would like to receive feedback on my application.
Due to the number of applications we receive, it’s not possible to provide personal feedback on your application if you have not been selected.
