MICHELLE CORNELISSEN
Designer
Venray, 1993

Michelle developed her skills during her studies at Koning Willem 1 College in Den Bosch, Maastricht Academy of Fine Arts & Design and The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts - Schools of Architecture, Design and Conservation in Copenhagen. Currently she applies those skills in her projects in her own studio MICHI'M. “Brand identity design are the key words in my work (…) I apply this within the style of subcultures that clashes with the experience of luxury.”

She already worked on many projects, such as executing the costumes for Zauberflote at Opera Zuid, a pop-up event at Patta Amsterdam and a collaboration with Cornelissen Interieurs/ Cident - to give dental practices, a modern, luxurious and most of all friendly appearance. But she is most proud of her first independent show with fellow students during FASHIONCLASH Festival 2019 and winning the BODY ALUMNI AWARD. Michelle also participated in various other FASHIONCLASH projects such as Dress to protest and she is an ongoing participant of the Fashion House Business Development Program. “FASHIONCLASH functions as a bridge and is the platform that introduces young designers to the, sometimes harsh, reality of fashion. They are the mediator to create opportunities, like hosting FASHIONCLASH Festival and introducing me to their professional network”.
