TexTiles: How do you see the future of Europe?

TexTiles is a community art project in which you portray your view or vision of Europe in a textile tile. The TexTiles are based on the dimensions (40 x 40 cm) of the tiles of Plein 1992, the square in front of Centre Céramique that is named after the Maastricht Treaty - officially the Treaty on European Union, which was signed on 7 February 1992 and served to establish the European Union.

This, among other things, concluded the arrival of the euro as the single currency in a number of European countries. The paving of the square contains tiles with the € sign, alternating with the year 1992.

The goal is to make as many TexTiles as possible during the TextTiles workshops and eventually as much of Plein 1992 can be covered. Each textile tile represents a personal story, opinion or vision about Europe!
