Parties
A. FASHIONCLASH Foundation, hereinafter referred to as FC.
B. The party receiving this document, hereinafter referred to as the Participant.

Definitions

For the purposes of these Terms & Conditions, the following terms shall have the meaning ascribed to them below:

“FC” refers to the FASHIONCLASH Foundation, the organizer of the Project.

“FCF” refers to FASHIONCLASH Festival 2026, taking place in Maastricht, The Netherlands, from 13 November 2026 to 15 November 2026.

“Participant” refers to the individual participating in the Project.

“Project” refers to the Fashion Film Project.

“BC” refers to the Fashion Film Bootcamp in Amsterdam on Thursday 26 March 2026
“Pitch”
refers to the online pitch meeting on Tuesday 7 April

1. Context

The Fashion Film Project is a talent development initiative focused on fashion film. The Project consists of a BC and Pitch. After the pitch two teams will be selected. One of the selected teams includes a participation aspect to their development process. The Participant ultimately has the chance to produce a film in a team setting, and a premiere screening at FCF, after winning the Pitch. Participant has the option to submit the film to other (fashion) film festivals after the premiere screening.

2. Conditions of Participation

2.1 Submitting an application via the website of FC for the Project is mandatory.
2.2 FC’s selection decisions are final and non-negotiable. No correspondence will be entertained regarding these decisions
2.3 Dates and times are planned by FC. FC reserves the right to change the dates if circumstances require it.

3. Working Method and Meetings

3.1 Recently graduated designers, artists, art students, self-taught makers, and other creative professionals living in the Benelux region, who are open to develop a short fashion film in a team setting, are invited to apply for the Open Call for the Project.

3.2. If there are more registrations than available spots, FC will make a selection to ensure the broadest possible range of participants.

3.3. The Project consists of key meetings and milestones outlined below. Attendance by the Participant at key meetings is mandatory. Unjustified absences may affect participation and compensation.

3.4. FC oversees the production, facilities, and administrative management of the Project.

Phase 0: Open Call for Participants

  • Closing date: Friday 20 March 2026, 23:59 (CET)

  • Announcement selected participants BC: Monday 23 March 2026

Phase 1: Fashion Film Bootcamp & Pitch (April 2026)
3.4 Participant is obligated to be physically present at the BC.

3.5 FC invites three industry professionals for three masterclasses as part of the BC;

3.6 FC provides lunch for Participant during the BC;

3.7 Participant collaborates on the proposal for the Pitch during the intervening two weeks.

3.8 Participant actively engages with fellow Participants to contribute quality, originality, and social value.

3.9 Important Dates

  • Fashion Film Bootcamp in Amsterdam on Thursday 26 March 2026 at Solid Ground in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

  • Online Pitch: Tuesday 7 April 17:00 – 19:00 (CET)

Phase 2: Development, winning pitches (April – October 2026)
3.10 FC provides each Participant of the two winning teams a participation fee. See 5.2 for details.

3.11 FC allocates a production budget of €5.500 (incl. VAT) as an out-of-pocket budget for each winning team to create the films.

3.12 Participant of a winning team is available for multiple days between April 2026 – September 2026 to create the film. Participant creates a time schedule in consultation with the other participants of their winning team.

3.13 FC appoints an experienced filmmaker for expert guidance, coaching, and feedback throughout phase 2.

3.14 Participant of a winning team takes responsibility for collaboration and execution of the film.

3.15 Participant of a winning team demonstrates commitment, enthusiasm, and expertise during the entire process.

3.16 Participant of a winning team maintains regular and timely communication with other Participants and, if necessary, with FC regarding progress, planning, and interim results.

Phase 3: Premiere at FCF, winning pitch
3.17 The films will be screened during FCF, exact date and time to be determined by FC.

3.18 FC is responsible for the production of the premiere screening at FCF.

3.19 Participant is present at the premiere screening at FCF.

3.20 Participant can reimburse travel costs for the premiere screening at FCF. See 5.6 for details

3.21 Participant of a winning team cooperates with FC for (online) communication and press-related purposes of the Project.

Phase 4: Submitting to film festivals
3.22 FC provides budget to submit the film to selected (fashion) film festivals.


3.23 Participant of a winning team is responsible for submitting the film to selected (fashion) film festivals. FC can advise Participants of the winning teams in the submission process.

4. Film Ownership Rights

4.1 Participant of a winning team is joint artistic owner of the film.

4.2 FC is the official initiator and executive producer of the Project and holds the right to screen the film when necessary.

4.3 The final credit format, including FC’s role as project owner and initiator, will be determined in consultation with the winning teams before the film’s finalization.

4.4 The Participants of the winning teams decide on the final title of their film.

4.5 The intro and credits of the final edit of the films must be made in consultation with FC.

4.6 Each Participant of the winning teams selects their own title (role) and designation.

4.7 All outcomes developed by Participants of the winning teams cannot be used for other purposes unless agreed upon in writing with FC.

4.8 FC and Participant shall handle each other’s insights, concepts, and plans with the utmost care and properly credit each other when publishing any related content.

5. Compensation Fee & Payment

5.1 Participating in the Event is free of charge.

5.2 Each individual Participant of the winning teams receives a participation fee of €500

5.3 Upon meeting the attendance and responsibility requirements outlined in this document, the compensation as mentioned in 5.2 will be paid per Participant of the winning teams after phase 3.

5.4 If the Participant is registered as a

company with a valid VAT number,

they can send an invoice to FC – until Monday 1 December 2026.

5.5 If the Participant of a winning team does not own a valid VAT number, they can ask for a compensation form to receive the FC compensation form

5.6 Participant of a winning team can reimburse travel costs (max. €75, receipts required) for the premiere screening at FCF after phase 3.

5.7 Additional (international)

banking costs are on behalf of the

Participant of the winning team.

5.8 Participant of a winning team receives 2 entrance tickets for guests to visit the premiere.

5.9 Participant of a winning team does not receive entrance tickets to other events or programs as part of FCF.

6. General Conditions

6.1 This agreement may only be terminated early by submitting a written request with a valid reason to FC. Early termination may affect financial compensation.

6.2 FC does not provide insurance for Participants in any form. Participants are responsible for their own insurance arrangements.

6.3 During all meetings and activities, photo, audio, or video recordings may be made and shared via FC’s and Participants’ channels. By accepting these conditions, the Participant grants FC unrestricted permission to use this material for communication, press, or promotional purposes.

6.4 Participants are encouraged to share the Project within their network, but may not publish any ideas, concepts, or other sensitive information about the project without prior written permission from FC. The goal is to promote the process while ensuring an optimal premiere screening.

6.5 Participant must maintain an open-minded and respectful attitude towards other Participants and their shared ideas. In case of concerns or personal matters, Participant can contact FC. Failure to uphold these standards may impact participation and eligibility for compensation.

7. Choice of Law and Forum

7.1 The agreement between FC and the Participant, including these Terms & Conditions, is governed by Dutch law.

7.2 Any disputes arising out of or relating to the agreement between FC and the Participant must exclusively be brought before the competent court in Maastricht, The Netherlands.
