From 13–15 November 2026, FASHIONCLASH Festival returns to Maastricht for its 18th edition. Discover a three-day programme of fashion performances, exhibitions, films, talks and workshops, featuring emerging talent from over 25 countries.
Each year, FASHIONCLASH invites a different artist or creative to shape the images for the festival campaign. For the 2026 edition, Sudanese visual artist and photographer Hashim Nasr brings together African and Middle Eastern cultural traditions through a surrealist and avant-garde visual language.
Set against open landscapes and carefully staged environments, traditional symbols, clothing, rituals and objects are transformed into dreamlike narratives, where memory, mythology and contemporary identity intertwine.
Through conceptual photography and symbolic storytelling, the campaign explores connection, transformation and collective imagination. It creates space to look at heritage not as something fixed, but as something that can be reimagined and given new meaning.
