Kim Gemmink graduated in Fashion Design from the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague. Her work explores systems of geometric shapes, color function, and functional trimmings. Modularity allows her creations to serve beyond the body as structures. Exploration and invitation of multiple bodies through co-creation reflect on social setting and behavior.
‘In The Corners Of A Circle’ is a reflection on systems and beliefs. A “fashion” collection without defined looks and a “game” without a winner, it explores possibilities within limitations. Through collective experimentation, participants find new ways of dressing, creating connection to the work, the essence, and each other.

Kim Gemmink studeerde Modeontwerp aan de Koninklijke Academie van Beeldende Kunsten in Den Haag. Haar werk onderzoekt systemen van geometrische vormen, kleurfuncties en functionele versieringen. Modulariteit stelt haar creaties in staat om niet alleen het lichaam te dienen, maar ook als structuren daarbuiten te functioneren. Het verkennen van meerdere lichamen via co-creatie reflecteert op sociale omgevingen en gedrag.
‘In The Corners Of A Circle’ is een onderzoek naar systemen en overtuigingen. Het is een ‘modecollectie’ zonder vaste looks en een ‘spel’ zonder winnaar, waarin mogelijkheden binnen beperkingen worden verkend. Via collectieve experimenten ontdekken deelnemers nieuwe manieren om zich te kleden, waardoor ze een verbinding aangaan met het werk, de essentie en elkaar.
