Live performance: Mounira Al Solh & Oasis One World Choir – in collaboration with FASHIONCLASH FESTIVAL 2025

The voices from ‘A Night Hour, as Long as Night’ finally get a face. For the work Al Solh created for the Artes Mundi 10 Prize in 2023, she collaborated with the Oasis One World Choir from Cardiff. On Sunday, November 16, they join forces once again, bringing art and music together in a captivating live performance.

From the museum's iconic staircase, voices and rhythms fill the space, slowly guiding you through the museum. Ultimately, everything comes together at the installation ‘A Night Hour, as Long as Night’, part of the acclaimed exhibition ‘A Land as Big as Her Skin’. Here stands the impressive embroidered Bedouin tent, surrounded by portraits and stories that sing of memory and imagination.

For this performance, Al Solh designed unique costumes, which will be on display during the performance and are also available for purchase in the museum shop.

Oasis One World Choir: Founded in 2015, the Oasis One World Choir is a musical project based at the Oasis Centre in Cardiff. The choir brings together people who have fled to the United Kingdom, along with members of the local community. Through music, song, and movement, they create a safe and creative space where participants can express themselves, share stories, and be themselves—regardless of background or language.

Registration is required. Places are limited.
