Kistaku Handmade Upcycling Fashion
CARROUSEL by kistaku
Kistaku is an independent artistic fashion project rooted in Circular Culture. Committed to sustainability, it promotes eco-friendly practices and challenges the overconsumption of fast fashion.
Through Kistaku, its creator Jaira expresses her vision, values, and unique perspective on the world. Each piece draws inspiration from elements of nature, both visible and invisible, to convey a message of transformation and connection. Every item is handcrafted in Kistaku’s atelier in Asnières-sur-Seine (Paris region), using upcycled materials such as household linens and vintage textiles. The result: timeless, distinctive pieces that celebrate authenticity and sustainable design.
‘CARROUSEL by Kistaku’ is a theatrical fashion collection that traces the emotional journey from vulnerability to empowerment through exclusive, one-of-a-kind upcycled creations.
The collection opens with neutral-toned designs that reflect tenderness and the quiet fragility of beginnings. From there, the pieces grow in intensity, silhouettes become bolder, textures richer, and tones deepen into earthy shades that embody raw emotion and inner conflict.
At its heart, CARROUSEL is a dialogue between fragility and strength: garments are constructed with contrasts, delicate details against structural forms, softness layered with resilience, echoing the complex process of embracing one’s truth. The collection culminates in striking, statement pieces that celebrate empowerment, resilience, and personal growth.
