CHIRON FLORIS
Designer
Maastricht, 1994

Chiron Floris graduated in Fashion Design at Hogeschool voor Kunsten (HKU) in Utrecht in 2018. Shortly after she graduated she moved back to Rothem, just outside Maastricht, where she started her own eponymous clothing brand.

Chiron prefers minimalism and functionality in clothing; her designs are nonchalant and accessible. Quality is very important to her and acts very responsible in terms of fashion: “Clothing should not be a disposable product, but something you should buy and cherish for a long period of time”. Her focus is on sustainability; she wants to keep developing herself in this area, because, according to Chiron there is always room for improvement.

She is one of the participants of the Business Development Program by Fashion House and took part in various other FASHIONCLASH events such as the Designer Market at De Bijenkorf in Maastricht, Fashion Talent Take Over and FASHIONCLASH Festival 2019 - where she won the NextGen Award with the presentation of her latest collection PLAT DU JOUR. “I am very happy with the collaboration with FASHIONCASH. Because of the platform I got presentation and selling opportunities, which is not always common for a young designer. I am very grateful for that!
