Ebby Port

After she graduated in 2011 from the Willem de Kooning Academie in Rotterdam, Ebby Port created her first womenswear collection in 2013. Characteristic in her use of materials are the hand printed, colorful screen-printed prints, which arise intuitively during the screen printing. “The clothing itself often has a practical character and is wearable (…) the silhouettes are often not directly in touch with the skin”.

Ebby can’t name just one highlight from her career, there are many special moments. “Like the first time I went screen printing at the Jan van Eyck Academie in Maastricht and the prints turned out to be determinative for the image of my collection. The moment that I gave an independent show at the Jan van Eyck in 2017 during FASHIONCLASH Festival, for which I received the KALTBLUT Magazine award, also was a special moment. I also found a production company because of FASHIONCLASH, where I produce on a small scale in a fair environment.”
