Helène Klein is a Dutch designer behind the brand STUDIO HEEY. After graduating from the Maastricht Academy of Fine Art and Design as an art teacher in 2015, she has since become the head of education at the Natural History Museum of Maastricht.

She has participated in The Locals Show of the 12th edition of FASHIONCLASH Festival, which she considered a dream come true. “FASHIONCLASH has really helped me. It helped me develop more professional content and explore my platform. They ask the right questions and help you find the right connections to further your passion. FASHIONCLASH is a team that really cares. You don’t just participate once at FASHIONCLASH, you really become part of a family, a caring community that wants to make long lasting connections and help others reach their goals.”

She spends her days designing jewelry, creating new prints for her apparel and making prints by hand. She loves doing this and considers everything she does as part of the process that makes her products come alive.

Inspired by both traditional and contemporary Japanese styles, her colorful brand STUDIO HEEY strives to bring a smile to your face. Her work aims to convey political messages in an open point of view. Inclusivity, love, understanding and positive vibes are crucial components of her design process.

THE LGBTQI+ community is very dear to Helène. She considers acceptance and understanding something that we all should keep on working at as there is always more to learn.
