Stein, 1991

Marlou Breuls was a trainee at FASHIONCLASH during her Fashion & Tailoring studies at ROC Eindhoven (now SUMMA College). “FASHIONCLASH has inspired, educated and motivated me. The love and dedication to the profession of the team gave me the confidence and courage to pursue my dreams as a designer.” She decided to continue studying at the Amsterdam Fashion Institute (AMFI). With her graduation collection ‘The (non-)conformist’ she won the audience price of Lichting 2016 during Amsterdam Fashion Week.

Her absurdist outfits were worn by singer Björk and have been used in various shoots with photographer Tim Walker. An outfit for singer Sia was worn during The Ellen Degeneres Show and seen by millions of people. She also developed the campaign image for Amsterdam Fashion Week 2017, in collaboration with Iris Ruisch and photographer Imke Panhuijzen. In March 2019, Marlou had the honor to open the Amsterdam Fashion Week Studio edition with an independent show, a collaboration with Spongebob Squarepants supported by Nickelodeon. With this collection, she also won the Łódź Young Design Award 2019, worth 30.000 euro.
