FASHIONCLASH Maastricht celebrates its 5th edition and therefore the event will last for 9 days this year. Besides the regular program including fashion shows, exhibition, party and performances, an extensive Side Program will take place with pop-up shops, exhibition at ‘Museum aan het Vrijthof’, workshops and presentations held on several locations in Maastricht.

FASHIONCLASH Maastricht is an international and interdisciplinary fashion event mainly focusing on ‘young’ designers and artists, active within a broad range of disciplines. Beside fashion collections one can see textile design, photography, video, jewellery, fashion film, accessories, performance, theatre etc. The event includes work by over a 100 talents from all over the world! Admission for the Exhibition and most of the Side Program is free. To attend the fashion shows and FASHIONCLASH @ MUSEUM AAN HET VRIJTHOF, there is a ticket sale.

On 5 June Museum aan het Vrijthof will be launching a new, high-profile exposition in collaboration with FASHIONCLASH: ‘FASHIONCLASH @ MUSEUM AAN HET VRIJTHOF'

In the five years since its founding, FASHIONCLASH Maastricht has grown into an international and interdisciplinary event, where up-and-coming designers from different fields get the chance to present their work. To celebrate this, FASHIONCLASH was asked by the Museum aan het Vrijthof to exhibit highlights the past few years. One can see work from projects like the Clash Project, FASHIONCLASH Fashion Procession 2011 and work of designer Femke Agema.

Museum aan het Vrijthof has also offered young designers a stage to present their designs and has challenged them to engage with 500 years Made in Maastricht. Five designers from the Meuse–Rhine Euregion were given the assignment to create new pieces inspired by the museum’s various rooms: Ann Boogaerts, Bregje Cox, Gabriel Guevara, Ingo Binder and Joelle Boers.

Jubileum edition FASHIONCLASH Maastricht 2013, an international and interdisciplinary fashion event

FASHIONCLASH Maastricht celebrates its fifth edition and therefore the fashion event will last for nine days this year. From the moment FASHIONCLASH started (2009) it has increasingly grown. By means of projects such as the event FASHIONCLASH Maastricht, FASHIONCLASH Market, various pop-up stores, Fashion Across Borders and numerous presentations within the Netherlands and abroad, FASHIONCLASH possesses a unique position within the international fashion industry.
