FASHIONCLASH teamed up with Museumnacht Maastricht for the second time. For this years edition FASHIONCLASH will present the DRESS TO PROTEST project at Boekhandel Dominicanen (Dominicanen churchbookstore).

On 12 April 2019, we will be protesting in style and use our freedom to speak, write and dance to make our own manifest. For this project FASHIONCLASH commissioned Toneelacademie Maastricht (Institute of Performing Arts Maastricht) students Giovanni Brand and Eliane Zwart to curate and direct an evening with cross-overs between fashion, theatre and music based on the concext of 'dress to protest'.

You can expect all kind of performances from spoken word to DJ sets. Come over and experience the exclusive day that the Boekhandel Dominicanen will change into a pop-up ‘protest’ nightclub.

To join this event, you need to have a ticket for the Museumnacht Maastricht route.

The doors will open at 8pm and will close at 1am.

You can find more information about the program and the tickets here.

The 3rd edition of Museumnacht Maastricht took place on friday the 13th 2o18, it was an exceptionally happy evening. Over 4,000 art lovers enjoyed a spectacular Art meets Clubbing program that enchanted the whole city.
The stunning Dominicanen Bookshop was transformed into a real club with 13 as the lucky number.

People enjoyed a four-hour musical performance that changed every minute and featured four spectacular highlights. Furthemore, the Dominicanen Bookshop was transformed into a club with a ‘door bitch’, a bouncer, DJs, and a dance floor.

A main act performed on the balcony every hour, including Benjamin Abel Meirhaeghe and Hendrik Kegels. During the Museum Night, visitors also enjoyed video projections by Mees Walter. First year students from the Maastraicht academy of performing art showcased performances in which they wore designs from collective 12.

Collective 12:
A design collective consisting of twelve students in their final year of MAFAD. Their work consisted of fashion, jewellery, and textiles. During Museum Night Maastricht, they drew attention to their crowdfunding campaign set up in collaboration with voordekunst.nl to raise money for a show during FASHIONCLASH Festival 2018.

For Club Lucky 13, FASHIONCLASH commissioned Toneelacademie Maastricht student Diederik Kreike to host a performance throughout the night.
