THE FIRE AT THE END OF MY THROAT

Performance by Valerie Ludwig, together with Lois Vecchi, Lola de Jong, Ernanda Brandt, Carice Boelm and Bloem van Landhuyt

Valerie Ludwig is a multidisciplinary artist. Her performances are rooted in ritual, socio-political protest, and radical feminism, where the female body serves as the beginning to unravel structures of oppression and embrace collective healing. Through voice and movement, Valerie explores how the body can become an instrument of transformation and resistance.

THE FIRE AT THE END OF MY THROAT is a ritualistic choir performance that moves through rage, grief, and madness. By using the female voice as a form of resistance where it travels from requiem-like melodies mourning the silenced and violated body toward raw expressions of anger and protest. Together, with the performers Lois Vecchi, Lola de Jong, Ernanda Brandt, Carice Boelm and Bloem van Landhuyt, Valerie approaches the body as an open wound through which transformation becomes possible. Rage emerges not as destruction, but as a tool for reclamation and repair and opening pathways toward collective healing and liberation.

The performance will be shown before the Fashion Makes Sense Talk
