Collection Presentation

Teigetje&Woelrat is a fashion studio based in Amsterdam with a history of 50 years of design. The collections seem to be caught in between reality and fantasy with a balance between tradition and experiment. At the heart of their artistic practice stands knitwear. The studio designs and knits its own fabrics on two high tech knitting machines and if needed by hand. Teigetje&Woelrat´s designs are defined by intense colours, abstract flowers, straight shapes, geometrical patterns, and its experimental use of material and skill.

For the FASHIONCLASH Collection, Teigetje&Woelrat dive into a world of checkered patterns, knitwear that contrasts against leather and a carnavalesque aesthetic that creates a space between contemporary design and comedic carnival. All pieces are designed and executed by the four makers of the studio, starting from the thread till the finishing of the pieces by hand.
