FASHIONCLASH Joins the Fashion Trail at Fashion In Motion #2

This year, FASHIONCLASH joins the Fashion Trail with a dedicated exhibition spotlighting emerging talent from the Meuse-Rhine region. The showcase brings together a selection of work by young, local designers, offering visitors a close-up look at the craftsmanship, storytelling and experimentation shaping the next generation of fashion makers.
The exhibition takes its place among the more than thirty stops that make up the Fashion Trail, the free, open-air itinerary that turns downtown Liège into a living runway for three days. From showrooms and designer boutiques to scenographed window displays and pop-up stores, the Trail invites fashion lovers and curious passers-by alike to wander at their own pace — programme in hand — from the Carré district to the cobbled lanes of Hors-Château.

Noshaq / North Cathedral, 2 Rue Chapelle des Clercs, Liège
Noshaq is a Liège-based investment fund, a “catalyst for possibilities,” that finances the creation and growth of businesses. In particular, it is spearheading the Cathédrale-Nord project, a large-scale urban revitalization initiative in the heart of Liège that combines retail, office space, and housing. This rapidly evolving area is now hosting the fashion showcase.

FASHIONCLASH PRESENTS DESIGNERS
An exhibition featuring a selection of work by young, local designers from the Meuse-Rhine region — a showcase of craftsmanship, storytelling and experimentation from an emerging generation of fashion makers.
Emma Magermans @emmamagermansdesign
Emma Magermans is a fashion designer from Mheer who recently graduated from the Amsterdam Fashion Institute (AMFI). Her craftsmanship-driven work responds to mass production with carefully constructed pieces that emphasise detail, material and longevity. Her graduate collection Raveille draws on the Bronk, a centuries-old Limburg ritual, reinterpreting its spirit into contemporary, playful silhouettes where robust fabrics meet delicate, festive detailing.
Het Stort @hetstort
Het Stort is an on-demand clothing brand inspired by workwear and military uniforms. Each garment is designed with care and tailored to the wearer, combining functionality with attentiveness. Through collaborations with blacksmiths, painters and bronze casters, Het Stort researches the relationship between craft and clothing, creating pieces that align fully with how their makers work.
The presented outfit is created in collaboration with goldsmith Thom van Schaik.
Senna Cuenen @sennacuenen
Senna Cuenen is entering her final year of Fashion Design at HKU University of the Arts Utrecht. Her work brings fashion and storytelling together in a theatrical way, using fabric manipulation and large silhouettes rooted in emotion. In her mini-collection The Exterior Spine, she translates inner, skeletal structures into wearable art — giving physical form to protection as both an internal and external experience.
Studio Jessie @studiojessie_
Jessie Römkens is a fashion designer, creative maker and founder of Studio Jessie in Heerlen. Her practice combines fashion, textiles and upcycling with a love for music and material experimentation — working with existing clothing, denim, lace, leather and patchwork to create pieces defined by contrast: hard and soft, refined and raw. Alongside her design practice, Jessie teaches sewing lessons and creative workshops.
Studio Wievien @studio_wievien
Studio Wievien is a creative collective exploring the space between fashion, art and personal expression. Growing from intuition, humour and a fascination with imperfection, the collective questions conventional ideas of beauty and identity through playful concepts and material experimentation — using clothing as a way to tell stories and challenge taboos.
Turtlehorn @turtlehorn_
Turtlehorn is a slow fashion label founded by designer María Voth Velasco, transforming reclaimed and discarded materials into handcrafted, wearable art. Moving between fashion, art and circular design, the brand challenges conventional fashion through experimental upcycling, genderless design and sustainability. The Shoe Jacket, from the 2023 collection Survivors of the Future, reimagines discarded mountain shoes as a sculptural piece exploring the beauty of transformation and reuse.
