TRAMPANTOJO

Ida Boxem, Eliana Bermúdez & Ana Sánchez

Following the third edition of the FASHIONCLASH Fashion Film Bootcamp that took place in April, the two winning teams started to shoot their fashion short films which were previously pitched with a budget of €5500 and under a guidance of a film maker Daniel van Hauten. With the funding and professional mentorship, the winning creatives explored the clash between fashion and film, as well as all the whole production and technicalities of a making a film.

tramp l’oeil: A trap or illusion used to deceive someone by making them see what is not there.

When the camera isn’t cut when “CUT!” is called and a film crew decides to keep rolling in order to completely dismantle an actress, she attempts to disappear from the film by taking control of her seemingly pre-determined narrative.

‘TRAMPANTOJO’ is a one-shot, meta-short film about deconstruction, power, and the limits of filmmaking through the attempt to transcend its own concept.

Because if “CUT!” doesn’t mark the end, what does?
