Cement Blanche
Francesca De Giorgio is a multidisciplinary designer working in fashion, visual and performing arts. She graduated in Fashion Design from Politecnico di Milano with her thesis exploring the intersection of fashion and cinema and new ways of presenting fashion beyond the traditional runway. After working as an experimental denim designer she becamea theater costume designer while researching and creating her sculpture project ‘Cement Blanche’.
‘Cement Blanche’ seeks to understand the deep complexities of human connections. As past burdens can shape what comes next, slowing us down or holding us still, weight has become more than a physical measure; it reflects the emotional value people assign to experiences, gestures, and words. Through shifting layers, exposed structures, and objects of deceptive appearance, ‘Cement Blanche’ explores weight as both a physical reality and a subjective, ever-changing experience.
