play/ground
‘play/ground’ is an immersive sensory performance about perception, memory, and reconnection. The space becomes a soft, safe ground for the audience to move, touch, listen, rest, or simply be. Through sound, light, texture, scent, and guided breathing, the work invites people to reconnect with their inner child and with ways of sensing that may have been buried beneath habit, pressure, and everyday noise. Rather than asking the audience to learn something new, ‘play/ground’ creates space to remember what the body may already know.
Arian Soltani is a Persian fashion designer and multidisciplinary creative based in Amsterdam. A graduate of the Amsterdam Fashion Institute (AMFI), he specialises in fashion and design, exploring the intersection of fashion, digital technologies, craftsmanship, and cultural storytelling. Drawing from his Persian heritage, mythology, and contemporary culture, Arian creates experimental garments and narratives that investigate identity, transformation, and the relationship between the body and its surroundings. His practice combines traditional references with 3D modelling, CLO3D, Blender, and 3D printing.
Peishan Xu is a Utrecht-based sound artist, musician, and performer. His practice moves between music, sound installation, and participatory performance, exploring how sound can shape intimacy, memory, and connection. Drawing from everyday experiences, field recordings, and personal archives, he often works with voice, found sound, and interactive systems to create situations where listening becomes physical and shared. His work embraces playfulness, vulnerability, and the unexpected, inviting audiences not only to listen, but to move, respond, and become part of the work.
