Amy Pratt

The Wet and Naughty Show

As a costume designer, Amy Pratt creates work centred around colourful tactility and humour. Through performances, immersive experiences, and vibrant exhibitions, she explores different ways of presenting her work and invites the viewer into her world. In her practice, she explores social themes while emphasising the bold and expressive character of her costumes. In this way, she creates imaginative environments where creativity and playfulness can take centre stage, encouraging the viewer to step into a new, vibrant reality.

‘The Wet and Naughty Show’ is where 1900s burlesque meets amphibians and fish. What could burlesque have looked like if the performers had taken back their power after businessmen demanded that the dancers show more skin? This theatrical performance takes inspiration from the colours, forms, and creatures of the underwater world, creating a playful and unexpected take on burlesque.
